First OB visit

We used the Center for Reproductive Medicine to get pregnant. They are a very conservative office and keep you there for close, weekly monitoring for the first 12 weeks. We are just now picking and meeting our OB.

I met with the OB’s nurse on Wednesday the 27th. She was very nice and spent about 30 minutes with me going over all the basics of the office, the normal flow of the Dr.’s care and all my history.

Then the lab took 7 vials of blood. I am waiting to hear the results. I don’t know what all the tests were, but I see the doctor on the 8th. I’m sure he’ll go over it then. I will be 14 weeks by then. The fertility clinic is sending all of our records over. He will have to make up for lost ground. Usually they would have seen me twice by this point.

I like the office where the OB is located. They have their own lab, sonogram equipment, endocrinologist (to manage the insulin), nutritionist, etc. to manage the spectrum of patients. It is a brand new building and everyone was pleasant. They even escorted me to every stop of my visit.
