Sad days at the office.

We've had some sad events take place at the office. (Nothing with me... all's well thus far). It always happens in threes....

A friend has recently lost her dad to a battle with cancer. He had a heart attack on Thanksgiving but the hospital sent him home due to the Hospice care orders. It was so tough on her.... Hosiptals are supposed to make you better, not send you home. He died a week later.

We had a brief snow storm that put 3 inches on the ground. Lubbock is not equipped to handle much more than a dusting. A friend fell on the ice in the parking lot and broke her ankle in two places. She's now in the rehab portion of the hospital - nearly 2 weeks after her surgery and she might get to go home at the end of the week.

And lastly we had a fellow employee die. He had a stroke and heart attack a month ago. He never recovered and finally passed away last night. He was a strong, energetic man. He was a trainer on the road - visiting customers and getting them up and functioning on our software. He was a road warrior. We will miss him.
