Hurricane Hits OH

Yes, really. A Hurricane hit OH Sunday. Apparently a cold front collided with then Tropical Depression IKE. The gust front to IKE had plenty of sunshine to warm it and the cold front coming down from Canada, created a major wind storm. We had 3 hours of wind ranging from 50-70 mph (depending on the source). We had shingles flying, vents from roofs and TONS of trees down. The power is out for 1/2 of Columbus. We are one of the lucky ones to have power restored so quickly. We were without powere for approximately 12 hours. Some people may be in the dark for 3 more days. We don't have all power back in Bexley - the schools are still dark. I don't know about all the other side issues... for example... if the teachers have power, or the gas pumps for the buses, or the food for the cafeterias is spoiled. I doubt we'll have school tomorrow, they are still sorting things out.
