Reading assessment

The schools measure 5 or 6 different categories for reading assessment at the beginning of the year: reading independently, fluency, story comprehension, spelling, aloud, sight words, etc.

Jacob topped out on everything but spelling (no surprise, knowing his parents).

The number that blew my mind, was the oral reading per minute. The goal is 40-60 words (correctly). He read 137 per minute. WOW.

He also got his first report card - Straight A's.

Rachel is doing great too - she's blowing drool bubbles like a champ :)
