Encouraging news

I went to the doctor yesterday. My basic problem with conceiving is that I don't ovulate regularly. Primarily due to my hormones being screwed up. Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome does that.

3 years ago I saw the same doctor. Since her office is called the "Center for Reproductive Medicine" she is automatically not accepted by my insurance. We tried a couple of things in 2003 but it became too expensive.

Since then I've made some medical improvements. I've been taking an insulin medicine called Metformin, to treat the Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. I've been working out. I've started some Thyroid medicine. In general - I'm much healthier than I was 3 years ago.

She did a baseline ovary sonogram. She said, "Look right here.... I think you evaluated on your own!!"

COOL. My body isn't far off from acting "normal". We are going to try a round of treatment called "clomid with mini-stimulation" Which basically means I take clomid, like we did to get pregnant with Jacob and then a booster shot - yes a shot - of hormones. Then well timed baby dancing and progesterone after that.

I'll keep you posted.
